“ I've tried T'zunun two times and had varied experiences. First time, I dined alone for dinner and sat in the dining room. I ordered taquitos and beef empanadas. The taquitos were potato and served fresh and hot. Great flavor. The empanadas stole the show! They were flavorful, flaky, and fresh. Oh, I also ordered a mocktail which was yummy. Second time, I sat in the bar area with a friend for lunch. I ordered the beef empanadas again and a Caesar salad. While the empanadas were good, the filling was "wetter" than the first time. Very different than the first time eating them. The Caesar salad was drenched in dressing and I could barely eat it. It was overwhelming. I wish I had sent it back but I didn't want to since I didn't ask for light dressing. Noted for next time. Service was great each time too. I would return but only for dinner. ”
“ I have traveled the world i've been to Spain Europe, South America all over I've eaten Mexican food from a lot of different places. The only place I know that my compete is a little New Mexican restaurant in Albuquerque. I can tell you this is the best Mexican. I don't even know to call it Mexican cause it's it's a step above that this is gourmet Mexican food. I have eaten Spanish Mexican whatever you call it food all over the world and I'm telling you straight up not lying. This is the best food I've ever had. The mole was not like anything I've ever had come here if you're anywhere. For me if you're anywhere near this place, I can tell you every single piece of food comes from grandma's kitchen and Molly was her grandmas kitchen and my mom. My grandma couldn't even touch this if you want the best Mexican food you've ever had come here. In fact, my grandma used to make mole would be jealous. This is the best movie I've ever eaten. “ I almost didn't wanna share this place with everyone because that's how amazing it is!! My cousin and I went on February 19 to try out the happy hour menu at Tzunun. Wow it looks even better in person. It's nice and it's in a good spot right on Pleasant Hill Road. I have been checking this place out for a while now I drove all the way from Sacramento just to come out here. The drinks were on point, food portions and prices were excellent and the service was impeccable! ”

“ We met at T'zunan for happy hour, and it was terrific! Gabriel was behind the bar mixing fantastic drinks and taking excellent care of us. I enjoyed the Pear Pressure, Tequila, Spiced Pear St. George, Lime, and Agave. Courtney loved the tamarind mezcal-rita, and Tom enjoyed two La Granadas. We asked Gabriel to recommend some popular happy hour food choices, and we were not disappointed. The steak nachos were wonderful. The steak was well seasoned, perfect with black beans, cheese, jalapenos, pickled onions, and crema. The Mexican Street corn was so yummy, and the presentation was great. Another great vegetarian option was the potato taquitos; the potato was so creamy it was perfect with the crunch of the corn tortilla. The poblano mac n' cheese was amazing! It was creamy, rich, and delicious! It's only available on Mezcal Mondays. Last but certainly not least were the poblano chorizo mussels; OMG, give me the broth and bread, and I'm in heaven! Everything was delicious, and Gabriel was awesome. I even got to meet his lovely mom, Martha, who is usually in the kitchen chefing up some delicious eats. Happy Hour (M-Th 3-6, Fri 3-5) offers a great way to try many reasonably priced dishes. They also offer Mezcal Mondays from 3-9 with Mezcal drink specials and extended Happy Hour food specials. They have all-day Taco Tuesday specials, too! Did you know they offer brunch on the weekends (menu included)? I'll be returning to try it next. T'zunan offers indoor and outdoor dining (it's a beautiful restaurant with a lovely patio space). The menu has really grown over the last year, and I'm looking forward to working my way around it. I'm sorry it's taken me so long to revisit this great local spot. ”

“ WOW, I was impressed with this upscale Mexican Restaurant. The restaurant is big inside with lots of tables and a gorgeous outside patio. It is beautifully decorated with friendly servers. We came here for Happy Hour and Taco Tuesday. Food presentation was nice and the flavors were amazing. We ordered: 1) Beef Nachos - Excellent and our favorite.. best I've ever had. Kudos to the Chef! 2) Street Corn Ribs- love their presentation and great tasting 3) Chicken Wings - reminds of Korean style - thumbs up 4) Steak Tacos- very good with lots of of meat 5) Chicharrones - Light and Crispy... very good 5) Flan - YUMMY, not too sweet, perfect to end the meal We will definitely return to try their dinner menu. ”
